SUMMER VELOCITY PROGRAM
The program is a high-intensity velocity development program in conjunction with a strength and conditioning program. Each session will include:
- Arm care and injury prevention
- Velocity improvement training
- Strength, speed, agility, core, and conditioning
Jay is a former collegiate baseball and football player at Santa Ana Community College. He graduated from UCI with a B.S. in Excercise Science. He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach (NSCA-CSCS) and has trained football and baseball greats alike.
Other Fury staff as necessary.
WHY THIS VELOCITY PROGRAM?
This program is not a “Pitcher Workout,” it is an off-season throwing program that improves the velocity and strength of all players. The program is designed to make you stronger, less susceptible to injury, and to increase your velocity by 3-5 mph through hard, smart, and intentional repetition.
This program has been researched, tested, and scientifically modified to provide serious players with a platform to increase velocity and arm health.
MAKE SURE TO BRING
Players need to wear tennis shoes or turfs in addition to long sleeves (not optional) to all sessions. Additionally, all players need to bring their glove and plenty of water.
